ERDU is a Ministry of Our Lady of The Way Catholic Parish, Petrie.

Petrie Catholic Parish is a parish of the Archdiocese of Brisbane. It is not separately incorporated but operates through the Archdiocese entity:The Corporation of the Trustees of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Brisbane, incorporated by Letters Patent on 25 July 1935 under the Religious Educational and Charitable Institutions Act of 1861 amendment Act of 1895. All properties of the Parish are held in trust by this Corporation for the beneficial use of the Parish. All employees are employed through this entity and all government registrationos for GST etc are done through the Corporation.

ERDU is registered with the Corporation of Trustees under ABN 25 328 758 007 Branch 121. This arrangement is necessary to enable ERDU to properly trade, bank and account for all its commercial activities.

Petrie Catholic Parish holds directors and officers liability insurance with CCI as well as voluntary workers insurance, public liability insurance and professional indemnity insurance plus other policies.

The Petrie Parish Priest has Canonical and Juridical authority over ERDU and the ERDU Mission.

The ERDU Advisory Board is accountable to the Petrie Parish Priest for the proper development and implementation of the ERDU Mission Strategies, Policies and Action Plans, all in accordance with the Vision of the Petrie Parish Council.

The ERDU Advisory Board is accountable to the Petrie Parish Priest, in liaison with the Parish Finance Advisory Board, for the proper development and implementation of the ERDU budgeting, financial reporting and audit of the ERDU accounts.

The ERDU Director is accountable to the Petrie Parish Priest in liaison with the ERDU Advisory Board, for the implementation of all approved ERDU Strategies and Policies, in proper compliance with the ERDU Mission and the ERDU Vision.
